About Benjamin Cilento, MD
Dr. Benjamin W. Cilento is a double board-certified ENT and facial plastic surgeon known for his leadership in advanced sinus care, sleep apnea treatment, and aesthetic facial surgery. With more than two decades of experience, he has lectured internationally, published extensively, and served in key advisory roles helping shape clinical guidelines.
Dr. Cilento graduated at the top of his class from Trinity College before serving as a Signals Intelligence and Reconnaissance Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, again graduating with top honors and distinction in research. His passion for head and neck surgery developed early through anatomical illustration work on a major medical textbook. He went on to complete his residency at the University of Washington under world-renowned surgeons and later led the Department of Otolaryngology at a U.S. Naval Hospital in Asia. His fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery further refined his expertise, ultimately shaping his dual focus on functional and aesthetic outcomes. Dr. Cilento is the co-host of the postcast, “Vital Discourse with Dr. Ben & Dr. Lee”, where they discuss their experiences as surgeons, leaders and trusted voices in all various areas of healthcare.
